It's like listening to a brick wall

If you're tuned in to Air Atta Ca Talk right now trying to hear my libidinous voice, you may have noticed that it's a very low-key performance. A silent performance, to be more exact. The truth is that a technical glitch occurred at blogtalkradio, and the show could not occur. We found this out at air time, which is why this is the first you're hearing about it. Sorry if any of you stayed up past your bedtimes for this!

And now for something not-so-completely different

From 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. Eastern Standard (aka New York) Time Friday night (technically first thing Saturday morning), I will once again be appearing on the Air Atta Ca Talk Internet radio show! [Note: radio will autoplay when you follow the link.]

Lest you think this be part of a scheme on my part to saturate the airwaves with my smut, I should explain that the hosts were making a schedule change and approached me on the chance that I might just happen to have another fistful or two of prose at the ready. So there I will be, enthusiastically reading some of the pieces I didn't get to last time!

As before, the show will be archived for the convenience of those listeners who don't want to plan their entire lives around when Yours Truly is appearing on the radio.

Yeah, they look pretty serious, don't they? I mean, if I walked into a room and saw that, I would probably decide that it wasn't a good moment to ask if anyone needed anything from the supermarket, or if either of them had seen a weather forecast for the weekend.

But though I might not be in on this couple's delicious interaction, I am in on the book! Seriously Sexy 1 will be published in February and will include my story "Impressionism."

Is MySpace censoring my links?

I can't claim to have thoroughly researched the issue of MySpace censorship—what its scope is and what its agenda is. But I'll tell you what I've personally noticed: among the various links at the top level of my MySpace profile, some are now redirecting to the MySpace home page instead of the places I linked to. Perhaps it's just a malfunction; but here's what else I've noticed: links to two particular publishers are, consistently, among the "broken" links—not only from my own MySpace profile, but also at the MySpace pages of the publishers themselves. Without further evidence that this is intentional, I'll stop short of making any accusations. But I think it's a good idea for those of us with MySpace profiles to keep an eye on what's going on over there.

One thing that I know has been discussed by others is the possibility that MySpace has targeted LGBT-related content for censorship—which, if true, would obviously be deeply troubling.
