Fondle My Widget
I had a fabulous time on Cult of Gracie Radio! [Note: That link autoplays current show.] Gracie and I talked about Ultimate Burlesque (coming from Xcite Books on October 1), my approaches to writing erotica, and whether there'd be any wine and snacks left in the chat room for us after the show. I read from "Laura the Laugher," my UB story, and we discussed the affinity between eros and laughter.
Thank you, Gracie! And thanks to the wonderful people who showed up in the chat room, so that I knew I had an audience! (I love having an audience.)
This event has now been immortalized over on my sidebar—it's the upper of the two Blogtalkradio widgets. My widget is at your service!

Tonight: Jeremy on Gracie!
Yes, tonight, Wednesday, August 27, I'll be appearing on the Cult of Gracie* online radio program! (What did you think I meant?) That's from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time. In the course of our discussion, we'll be giving special attention to the forthcoming Ultimate Burlesque anthology, which Emily Dubberley and Alyson Fixter are putting together as part of the wonderful Burlesque Against Breast Cancer program—and I'll read an excerpt from my contribution to the book, "Laura the Laugher." We'll take calls from listeners, so this is your chance to say whatever you want to me, without having to type. [Oh, except this program does have a rule against explicit language, so that may cramp your style. ; ) ]
*Click those words to listen; the show should autoplay. If you can't tune in tonight, watch this space for a widget, suitable for after-the-fact listening.

My naked voice on the radio
To help spread the word about the Ultimate Burlesque anthology—the teaserotic September release that will help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support—the legendary Gracie Passette has invited me to appear on her Cult of Gracie radio show next Wednesday night, August 27 (10:00 to 11:00 p.m., EDT). I can't wait! The show will be archived (and I believe it will autoplay when you hit the site, so don't click till you're ready); but if you listen live you'll have the option of calling in. So don't be shy—this is burlesque, after all.
Thanks, Gracie!
Ultimate Burlesque, edited by Alyson Fixter and Emily Dubberley and published by Xcite Books, is part of Burlesque Against Breast Cancer. I'm very honored to be part of Emily and Alyson's charitable project, and to be appearing in the book alongside so many authors I admire.

enh-enh, enhenhENH-enhenhenhenhenh
That, of course, is the guitar riff from "Satisfaction." (You got that right off the bat, didn't you, Craig?) Which, of course, is the song that goes through my head whenever I think about Satisfy Me, an Xcite books anthology that contains my story "Any Friend of Hers."And the good news is, you can get some satisfaction, because this book, I believe, has now been released. (There seem to be some stock issues at the moment at both the U.S. and UK Amazons, but it looks like it can be ordered from the publisher, at least.)
Among the other authors in this collection are Elizabeth Cage and Kristina Wright!
Edit: I probably should have put more n's in the title—nonsilent ones, I mean. Try this:
enh-enh, enhnenhNENH-enhnenhnenhnenhnenh
More satisfying?

Books of '09
I have two more forthcoming anthology publications to announce today!Early in '09, my story "Francine's Kid" will be published in Coming Together: At Last (ed. Alessia Brio), a two-volume collection of erotica that will benefit the heroic human-rights organization Amnesty International. Each story in this collection involves characters who are different races from each other sharing love/sex/lust. The book's release is intentionally timed around Martin Luther King Day. Erotica, racial harmony, Dr. King, human rights ... I'm damn proud to be part of this!
And I'm also super-excited to be able to say that a piece of mine called "Human" has been selected for inclusion in an anthology put together by the folks at Oysters & Chocolate! This collection will be released by NAL/Penguin in May, 2009. The O&C website is the home to a number of my stories, and I'm thrilled to be part of the first O&C book.

Burlesque-esque
I was recently given the opportunity of participating in a wonderful program called Burlesque Against Breast Cancer. And, being the way I am, I had stripped down to my rudiments before I realized that the commodity under discussion was a display of Jeremy writing, not a display of Jeremy flesh. So I got dressed again and wrote a story ... and I'm delighted to announce that it will be included in Ultimate Burlesque, a volume of burlesque-themed erotica that will benefit Macmillan Cancer Support. The book is being edited by Emily Dubberley and Alyson Fixter of Scarlet magazine, and published by Xcite Books.
And based on some of the publicity I've seen, I know that the following illustrious author friends will be among those included in the collection: Portia Da Costa, Emily Dubberley, Maxim Jakubowski, Kristina Lloyd, Nikki Magennis, and Donna George Storey! (I haven't seen the complete table of contents, so apologies if you're in the book and I don't know it.)Edit: I just heard a rumor running through the lobby that the illustrious Alison Tyler will also be participating!
