Free Laughter, and NYE Erotica
Happy Imminent New Year, everyone! Here's hoping that 2010 brings all of you everything you most want. And thank you all for making 2009 so much fun.
Just a reminder that you still have time to take advantage of my free e-book offer: to wit, if you purchase or order Rock My Socks Off anywhere before 2009 slips away, I will send you a free copy of Laura the Laugher. Just e-mail me at jerotic AT gmail DOT com to let me know you're in on "the Laura deal." As you can see, RMSO's availability has now spread to such places as Italy, South Africa, and Scandinavia. (And some of the UK sources offer worldwide shipping.)
Personally, I love New Year's Eve. I even have a story with an NYE theme: "Doing the Math." If reading NYE-themed erotica is part of your agenda today/tonight, you'll find the piece archived here and here.
New Year's hugs,
Jeremy

Fleshing Out the Future
Writer/editor/impresario extraordinaire Rachel Kramer Bussel recently posted the "Class of 2009" roster for her In the Flesh reading series, which takes place the third Thursday of each month in New York. I'm so honored to have appeared at ITF again this year. And it is tons. Of. Fun.
As a "class project" of sorts, some of us are doing a round of reminders—making sure people know when and where ITF happens, and the themes of the upcoming months. Spreading the word about the ITF Facebook fan page and the ITF Twitter profile. And the videos at YouTube! (Of course, I've already shown you the one of me.)
Use those links to get much more information ... but here's a quick preview of what's on Rachel's calendar for 2010:
January 21, Sex and Food Night
February 18, Love and Lust Night
March 18, BDSM Night
All events 8-10 pm at Happy Ending Lounge, 302 Broome Street, NYC. Free admission and free snacks!

Health Club
I hear Alison Tyler's on a fitness kick. And her enthusiasm for push-ups made me think of a passage in Rock My Socks Off, in which my characters hit the mattress for a little exercise of their own. Let's tone up our muscles and join them ...
She waited until he had properly situated himself, then she squatted over his face so that her pussy was a few inches above his mouth. ‘We’re going to do lick-ups.’
‘Lick-ups?’
‘They’re sort of like sit-ups. You use your muscles to raise yourself up till your tongue can reach … me. You keep your head in its raised position for – God, as long as you possibly can, please – then you let it drop back onto the bed. Rest and repeat.’
‘I see!’ said Jacob.
‘Trust me, it will be great … uh, exercise.’
That it was. Jacob’s abs got a workout each time he strained to reach her. And the tender, exquisite reaction to every touch of his tongue was a more than adequate reward for his efforts. And he was beautifully motivated to repeat the effort time and again. It seemed as if Normandie might even come before he reached his lick-up limit.
The sound of the door opening startled them. Jacob was sure he had taken care to leave the FOR GOD’S SAKE DO NOT FUCKING DISTURB THIS PERPETUALLY HORNY COUPLE sign on the knob.
‘Oh, sorry guys,’ said Kate. ‘Say, are you doing lick-ups?’
Jacob sat up for real as Normandie reluctantly shimmied off his face. ‘Why does everyone know about lick-ups but me?’ he asked. ‘I was just getting the hang of it, too.’
‘I can see that,’ said Kate. ‘And, if I may say so, well hung.’

A dilly of an inventory
Given the title of my kitchen-herb homage this summer, I think it's very fitting that Rock My Socks Off is in especially good supply in Picadilly Circus.
P.S. Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh (squared) ... I love you, Scotland!

Check out the tags for my new story!
Butt Play, Co-Worker, Cunnilingus, Doggy-style, Erotica, Exhibitionism, Heterosexual, Masturbation, Sex in Public, Sex Standing Up, Small Breasts, StraightWow! The lovely editors at Oysters & Chocolate Erotic sure found a lot of terms to describe my new story there, "Mom & Pop Enterprise"! I love it!
But, hey, don't just read the tags ... why not read the whole story? ; )
Thanks, O&C!

Blue Heaven
Actually, Blue Heaven is the title of a delightfully Wodehousian comic novel that I've just begun reading. I was pointed to it by expert pointer-out-of-good-things Alison Tyler.
But that's not really what this post is about. This post is about people I know and admire having the heavenly experience of seeing their books on Violet Blue's Hottest Sex Books of 2009 list! So I'm sending a huge CONGRATS! out to Rachel Kramer Bussel, Sacchi Green, D. L. King, Sommer Marsden, Alison Tyler, and Saskia Walker!! (Plus I have a little slice of heaven myself, as a contributor to AT's Playing with Fire, the book that topped the list. So thank you, Alison—for Blue Heaven and Blue Heaven!)

Assortment
Happy December!
I have an assortment of things I want to mention here today, so I've made a carefully organized list—if only for the doodle space. Actual order of content may have little to do with list order. Package (ahem) by weight, not volume.
First off (first off in this post, not necessarily on the list), just a reminder about my "Delayed-Gratification" offer for holiday gift-givers. Click down ("down" because the link goes to an earlier post on this very blog) for full details; and I'd like to add (Forgot to Mention Before Dept.) that Xcite offers gift-wrapping for £1.00.
Speaking of Xcite, I'm delighted to announce the publication of Temptations 2, a mini-anthology that contains my story "Open-Bottle Policy," along with hot adventures from Primula Bond, Alicia Carter,
Lucy Felthouse, Shanna Germain, Sommer Marsden, and Roxanne Sinclair. This volume is part of a new line of compact, portable erotica collections with budget pricing. Here's a teaser from my story:
Looking ahead ... I know I keep yammering about my novel's January release date (!), but there are more anthologies on the horizon as well. Early in 2010 we'll see The Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica 9, Coming Together: Into the Light, Sex, Love & Valentines, and The Cougar Book, with Fairy Tale Lust and Sex in the City: New York following in the spring. SITCNY is breaking news—the lineup has just been decided for this collection of NYC-themed erotic tales, part of a new series whose initial offerings will also include volumes about Dublin, London, and Paris. I'm so thrilled that editor Maxim Jakubowski will be using my story, which, as I explain in the accompanying author's note, I poured my heart into:
Finally, before gathering up my doodle-covered notes and adjourning for coffee, I'd like to point you to some new or newish releases by my esteemed colleagues: Collections by erotica prodigies Justine Elyot and Charlotte Stein have recently hit the shelves, and the amazing Alison Tyler has been setting the e-book world on fire. Sommer Marsden and Saskia Walker have all manner of sensational releases on the dance floor, while Shanna Germain and Gina Marie are ready to MindFuck you in the best way. There's a new one from the illustrious M. Christian, and the first one from turbo-charged up-and-comer Scarlett Greyson. What a great time to be an erotica reader!

Here's a teaser from my story:While the car ascended with a soothing whir, Becky broke the silence. “I don’t know if this was strictly necessary, according to the open-bottle rules. But I am going on break ... and I can do whatever I like on my break.” She stepped closer to me. “Whatever I like,” she repeated. And she reached forward and tapped my chest, ever so briefly.

Call it emotional masturbation, but I felt moved as I completed the work: I felt as if I’d “given back” to a city that has hosted me and aroused me, flattered me and seduced me.
