Nov. 16: Jeremy Live in Philadelphia!

Three weeks from tomorrow, Tuesday, November 16, I will return to Philadelphia's Erotic Literary Salon!

When I was featured at the Salon in 2009, I had a fabulous time reading from my piece in Oysters & Chocolate: Erotic Stories of Every Flavor. This time around, I'll be reading from my erotocomedic novel Rock My Socks Off—my first live reading from RMSO. I've been looking forward to this all year!

Signed copies of my book will be available at the Salon at a discounted price, and one free copy will be raffled off.

And—woohoo!—I'll be sharing the bill with my friend Robin Elizabeth Sampson, aka Erobintica. Robin will read her erotic poetry, including pieces that were finalists in the 2010 Seattle Erotic Art Festival's Literary Art Showcase.

Here are the nuts and bolts about the Salon:

Salons gather the 3rd Tuesday of every month at TIME (The Bohemian Absinthe Lounge), 1315 Sansom Street, Center City, Philadelphia. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. (limited seating), for cocktails, food and conversation. The event begins promptly at 8:00 p.m. Admission is $10, discounted for readers, students, and seniors (65+) to $8. Salon attendees must be 21.

Part of the evening is devoted to open-mike readings. To reserve a slot (five minutes), e-mail PCSalons AT gmail DOT com with the mandatory subject line "PCS."

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SALON VENUE, THE SALON WEBSITE, AND THE E-MAIL ADDRESS FOR OPEN-MIKE RESERVATIONS HAVE ALL RECENTLY CHANGED. The information in this blog post should be up to date.

Waiting for the other sock to drop

Still waiting for "Socks" stock at the U.S. Amazon et al.... but I'm in Amazon-review heaven with statements such as
Edwards' characters are intelligent and passionate, rushed off their feet even as they are swept off them. They are authoritative, but with nothing to prove.

and

It's been said that the brain is the biggest erogenous zone, and this highly imaginative, intricately-plotted farce celebrates the fact that "smart" and "sexy" go hand in hand. The breezy, deliciously irreverent wit is reminiscent of Stephen Fry.

and

Protagonists Jacob and Normandie are like a modern-day Nick and Nora Charles, except their Thin Man-style adventures leap quickly from clever innuendo to hot and explicit erotic encounters of every flavor.... I highly recommend you read this with a glass of champagne by your side.
Yes, some of the champagne-worthy reviews have familiar names attached to them. I not only acknowledge this fact, I embrace it.*

*And maybe rub my hard-on against its thigh and give it a little squeeze on the ass.

Progress at Harrods

My most distinct memory of Harrods is having trouble finding my way out. The mazelike, fantasy-world character of what I'd mistakenly believed to be a mere department store was enchanting; but I was running late, and though the spot where I was scheduled to meet Helia—just outside one of the exits—was in theory just a few seconds' journey away, the "outside" part of the equation proved a challenge.

But this was years ago, and I'm very happy to learn that they've since solved this problem. How? By stocking Rock My Socks Off, of course! The compact solution to all your household and department-store inconveniences. [Advt.]

Big thanks to the awesome Lucy Felthouse for the photo!

"Hot and Hilarious"

As of this writing, the U.S. Amazon is being a little coy about showing stock on Rock My Socks Off and other Xcite releases. (They still come up as "Marketplace only.") That should change soon; but I'm ready to celebrate now, because the fabulous Polly Frost, author of Deep Inside and Sex Scenes, has given me that celebrity-ribbon-cutting, champagne-christening feeling by launching me off with a fantastic Amazon review. Entitled "Hot and Hilarious," it begins with "Jeremy Edwards is one of the best writers of erotic fiction," and concludes with "How can you not love a book that features museum rocking horses and threesomes?" : ) Thank you so much, Polly!!

Eminent eroticist, humorist, and playwright Polly is currently in the midst of a marvelously entertaining and thought-provoking conversation with the delightful Dr. Dick. The first half of the interview can be heard here [some NSFW images on Web page], and the second installment of Polly's penetrating wit and Richard's irrepressible waggery will become available at Dr. D.'s site tomorrow. Don't miss it!
