Welcome to my archive
Just a friendly note to say that I'm winding things down (or do I mean "winding things up"?) on this blog, and I will no longer be posting. I take this step in accordance with my (retroactive) five-year plan, which states that I've been blogging here for five years, my elbow has worn a thin patch in the carpet, and the elastic on my boxer briefs can no longer carry a tune. (You see, due to Blogger space constraints I keep just the one set of clothes here, which means everything's been through the nightly laundry cycle some 1,800 times now. I'm currently wearing the fedora on my thumb.)
I am, however, leaving the existing content intact, and I'll continue to add titles and covers to the sidebars to link to new anthology releases. (There's quite a little crop of forthcoming anthos at the moment, as a matter of fact.) There's also my website, which I keep current with all publications, any upcoming live readings, etc.
I can be reached, as ever, via e-mail (jerotic AT gmail DOT com). And if you'd like to receive my occasional bulletins (which are generally similar in form and content to the posts I've done here in the past—and which are not to be confused with occasional tables, though those might in theory have erotica anthologies on them)... then I warmly invite you to sign up for my self-heated mailing list: just e-mail me at the address above, with the subject line "subscribe."
[Please also note that while comments of yore remain visible here, commenting has now been disabled.]
Thanks for dropping by!

And speaking of math...
Time slows down while conflicting and contradictory thoughts fly back and forth across his mind like bats: She said to. I’m married. It’s mistletoe. Christmas is over. She’s a colleague. She’s comfortable with it. Sharon wouldn’t like it. Sharon would like it.

It was a funny thing about theater people. Sometimes you didn’t know whether a fellow cast member was sharing intimate details as a way of coming on, or whether it was just an expression of that individual’s extroversion and openness.
I can't wait to read the other sixty-seven!

Bound by Lust Blog Tour: Vida Bailey!
***
All thanks to the gracious Jeremy for inviting me and my little bit of naughtiness round! I am delighted to be in Shanna’s book, and delighted to be here. My story was inspired by a picture on tumblr someone posted, this sweet little visual vignette.
And I thought what a very sweet thing it would be for a slave to have a slave sister. Out of this, a story was born. Here is a little tiny snippet for you to sample, so that you can go read the story and see What Came Before. Isn’t it the joy of erotica, readers, that you can experience all the fun of the idea of having your own little kitten, without any of the hard work and maintenance?
In the hotel room, Michael’s email alert chimed.
Dear Sir,
I‘m sorry to report that our kitten has broken a rule. If you would turn on your webcam, you could hear her confession for yourself
- S
Expressionless, Michael opened his link to home, and raised an eyebrow at the scene that greeted him. The kitten in question was tied into their sex swing, naked, her thighs spread and bound apart. His girlfriend Saphina knelt between them, looking back at the camera.
‘Well, Liz?’
‘Saphina caught me making myself come, Sir.’
Liz tried to look contrite, but Saphina was tickling her thighs, and giggling. Schoolgirl giggling abounded. Michael’s face assumed a pleasant, neutral expression.
‘Show me, Saph. Where was she at?’
Saphina leaned forward and nipped Liz’s inner thigh. She put her mouth to Liz’s visibly swollen pussy and went to work. Liz writhed in the air and began moaning, trying to swing herself onto Saph’s face. Her pelvis rocked and her nipples stood out hard. Saphina twisted two fingers inside her pumped them in and out. When Liz was about to tip over the edge, Michael spoke.
‘Ok, Saph, I see.’
Saphina pulled back from her captor, mouth slick. Liz let out an aggrieved wail.
‘Now it’s time to make her cry.’
He smiled, and settled back to watch.
Come join Vida blogging periodically and tumblring far more often. Be good girls and boys, and check out a copy of Bound By Lust, for much, much more than this.

Thank you, Vida, and congratulations to all!!

Bubbles and Fountains
Rachel Kramer Bussel's Going Down anthology is hot off the press, and it includes my story "Bubble Dance." That's "bubble" as in gum! Like so:
Before she came into my life, I never knew it was possible to chew bubble gum in a manner that could be described as sensuous. But, oh, that it is. Her jaw works with a rhythm reminiscent of slow fucking: smooth on the downstrokes, then back up in broken segments of release. Her tongue darts out to lick her lips from time to time. They look hot and succulent.
Meanwhile, for those who enjoy it when I write about my favorite kink, 1001 Nights Press has recently issued four (count 'em) mini e-books under the series title Private Fountains: Wet Erotica by Jeremy Edwards!

Assorted News
Here's what's happening in Jeremyland:
For the month of April, I'm the very happy featured author in the Erotica Readers & Writers Association Erotica Gallery. There you'll find three stories that have particular sentimental value to me ("The Same Fifty Taxis," "Slightly Ajar," and "Ménage à Denim"), along with an auotobiographical essay. On top of all that, another vintage story of mine, "Laura the Laugher," is featured at Justus Roux's Erotic Tales this month.
And more excitement: Recent story publications are "The Gushing Ghost of Grafenberg Falls," seeing its first online publication at Every Night Erotica (in two parts); a new flash piece, "Light Show," at FeatherLit; and "Reconnect," just out in the second print anthology from Racy Pages, Stretched. Here's a teaser from that story:
“He looks almost unchanged,” Dana said to Colleen over dinner. “Very well preserved, as they say.”Finally, if you want your "ass pajamas" in German, check out "Jede Nacht," in Heiß und schnell, the new translation of Got a Minute? [ed. Alison Tyler]!
“I bathe him in formaldehyde every night,” said Colleen with a wink.
When Dana had finished laughing, I returned the compliment, with full sincerity. “You look the same, too.” It was no strain to recall why I’d been attracted to Dana, from her confident personality to her squeezable body and angelic face.
Her hands unfurled into open palms. “I think I am the same.”
“That’s probably a good thing, in your case. Luckily, those of us who were actually in need of some maturation didn’t have to follow that plan.”
“Maturation, eh?” grinned Dana. “So that’s what you were in need of.” She turned to Colleen. “I kept offering him something else.”

The BBB
“Sorry about the breasts,” he said nervously, stepping to the side so he could face me. I took a peek at the cartoon lady’s cleavage, which I hadn’t noticed before. “I didn’t mean to draw them so large. I don’t want people to decide I’m one of those guys who thinks a woman amounts to a set of breasts.”
I felt a flush in my own, relatively generous, chest. “It’s okay, Ned. Hey, women have breasts. And breasts are nice, right?” I laughed, more self-consciously than I was used to in my workplace.
Meanwhile, The Pleasure Dial continues to receive the kind of praise that makes me walk around with a cartoonish grin all day long:
"Jeremy is gifted at combining humour and erotic elements in a rollicking good story. No easy task. His latest story, The Pleasure Dial, is a real treat and it instantly zipped me out of my own head, and kept me glued to the fun." [Saskia Walker, via Goodreads.]

Guest Post by Janine Ashbless: The Sofa of Pleasure
Happy 2012!
I'm playing TV host today—and it's my immense honor to welcome the brilliant Janine Ashbless onto my show! Please welcome Janine as we celebrate the release of Heart of Flame, an Arabian Night on the town that promises to turn Scheherazade genie green with envy.
Janine, come on down and take a seat on the... couch.

The Sofa of Pleasure
Hello Jeremy – thank you for letting me guest on your blog, so bright and early this 2012! So how’s everyone feeling after New Year? A bit rough, perhaps?
Well, how about a little lie-down on the Sofa of Pleasure? It’s a trope promulgated by İbrahim Peçevi, an Ottoman historian writing in the 17th Century. In my mind’s eye it looks like this:
That orange sofa-cover is a bit loud, mind.
Peçevi said there were “Four Cushions on the Sofa of Pleasure”:
And … wait for it …
(Bet you thought it was going to be Sex, didn’t you? Honestly, you people.)
By 1453, Turkish law made it legal for a woman to divorce her husband if he didn’t supply her with her daily coffee.
And now I’m going to make mine…

And on the One-Thousand-and-Second night, Scheherazade told this story…
By day, Taqla uses her forbidden sorcery to move freely about the city of Damascus in the guise of an old sage. Her true identity known only by her faithful servant woman, Taqla is content with the comfortable, if restrictive, life that keeps her safe from the control of any man. Until she lays eyes on a handsome merchant-traveler. Suddenly her magical disguise doesn’t rest so easily on her shoulders.
When long-time widower, Rafiq, hears that the Amir’s beautiful daughter has been kidnapped by a scheming djinni—and that she will be given in marriage to her rescuer—he seeks the help of “Umar the Wise” to ensure he will be that man. Yet as he and the disguised Taqla set off, he senses that his prickly male companion is hiding something.
In a moment of dire peril, all of Taqla’s secrets are stripped bare—her fears, her sorcery and, worst of all, her love for Rafiq. Yet the princess’s life hangs in the balance, and there is no running away or turning back. Even though passion may yet betray them all...
Product Warning: Scary monsters and creepy ruins in the desert—check. Pagan gods that demand blood-sacrifices—double check. A handsome hero who looks good in a robe and even better out of it—oh yeah. Check, check and check. That’s worth a heroine dropping a veil or two.

Review Roundup—and 25% off!
I'm ecstatic about the reviews continuing to come in for The Pleasure Dial! Here are snippets from the latest ones:“Fans of Jeremy Edwards’ erotic tales are sure to enjoy this expertly-paced romp through the glamorous world of 1930’s Hollywood. You'll find Edwards’ signature witty repartee, an unfettered celebration of sensual pleasure, and plenty of clever twists in a story that evokes the screwball comedies of the golden age.”
—Donna George Storey
“How can you not love an author who focuses first on his heroines’ intelligence and second on their sexual exuberance, with physical appearance taking third place?... This is a clever and very funny book.”
—Lisabet Sarai
“Jeremy Edwards has, in two novels and countless shorter pieces, managed to earn himself a spot as a master of erotocomedic fiction. The light, carefree but deeply affectionate way in which his characters interact with each other has become his trademark, and I’m hooked on it.”
—Madeline Elayne

Professor Daniel Olsen Rides Again!
“What the devil is it?”So if you're in the mood for some steampunk waggery and wiggling, step this way and read "The Girl Who Mounted Danny Olsen's Instrument," at Oysters & Chocolate Erotic. (If you missed the earlier tale starring Fay's big sister Sal and her mechanical girlfriend, that one's called "Dr. Olsen's Loquacious Automaton," and it's also at O&C.)
“An autonavigation machine.” Sal nodded at the heavy-looking metal box that had been affixed to the handlebars. “It’s based on essentially the same principle as the Pianola. My device reads a rolled-up map, then translates the cyclist’s desired route into the appropriate maneuvers.”
“But how does—”
“Naturally, the map must be specially prepared in advance, with the rider’s planned route scored onto it with the dull end of a needle.”
“Which, as we know, can be found in the dull end of a haystack.”
Dan’s unanticipated interjection made Fay shriek with laughter. No man of hers in Paris, however sensually sophisticated, had shown a wit such as this.
“Thank you, Professor Olsen,” said Sal.
Thank you, Oysterers!

A couple of quick updates
The Pleasure Dial: An Erotocomedic Novel of Old-Time Radio is now available through Amazon's Kindle store (or shop). (By the way: Did you know that if you buy directly from OC Press, the set of e-book files includes a Kindle-friendly MOBI version?)
And speaking of such things: Did you know that even if you don't have an e-book reader, you have e-book–reading options besides .pdf? Various software can be downloaded for free for one's computer, to give a more "e-readeresque" experience. Personally, I've been using the Sony software.
Quick Update #2:
Every Night Erotica recently published a piece of mine that's never been seen on the Web before. It's called "Showstopper," and it originally appeared in an anthology called Sex and Shoes.
“I want to tap dance naked for you,” said Melinda.
“Yes! I feel the same way,” I reciprocated with zest. I thought she was articulating a creative metaphor, one whose whimsy evoked the euphoria of erotic love.
“No, I really do.” Melinda, it turned out, had taken tap lessons before we’d met, and she’d been speaking literally. She still had the shoes somewhere, she said.
