In New York? Let's Spend the Night Together!
Just a reminder to those in NYC that the night—tonight!—was made for erotica. That's In the Flesh, 8:00 p.m. at Happy Ending Lounge. I'm guessing the venue is air conditioned; so why shell out for a movie on a hot night when you can watch frisky writers like me talk dirty for free? (And why pay $14.00 a gallon for popcorn when you can have free cupcakes?)

I came (so to speak), I saw, I heard, I ate (everything but the cupcakes; I'm more of a crunchy -- not granola -- type). I got free porn!
It was a packed house. Great readers and a wide spectrum of material!

Re. podcasts and so forth: Unlike most In the Fleshes, last night's event wasn't recorded (and, personally, I would have had to opt out anyway, 'cause it would have been video and my smiling face is a secret smiling face as far as the Internet is concerned). But if you go to the In the Flesh blog, you can see footage from other ITFs.
I had a fabulous time (as did my smiling face, which got plenty of smiling accomplished). I'll post a write-up in a few minutes ... with special snack commentary by a special guest snack commentator.
