I'll showcase mine if you'll showcase yours

From May 1 through May 3, the Northwest will be home to the seventh Seattle Erotic Art Festival. This year, for the first time, the program includes a literary art showcase—a juried show for erotic short stories and poetry. And I'm thrilled to announce that a piece of mine was among the ten stories selected for the showcase! And—woohoo!—my friend Jolene Hui's work has been chosen, too.

The SEAF is a project of the Foundation for Sex Positive Culture. This year's event—featuring art, literature, and performances (including musical duo the Wet Spots)—will take place at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall. For tickets and much more info, visit the SEAF website.

And a big shout-out to the beneficent Dr. Dick (NSFW), who turned me on to this opportunity!

Cool, Jeremy! Congratulations!

I love the cover art for the festival too. Zipperlicious.

Wow Jeremy, what a fabulous event, and image! Congratulations on getting in the showcase.

As I mentioned earlier on my blog, I can not seem to keep up with all of these wonderful things going on! Forgive me for not being more present.

Best to you and THANK YOU SO MUCH for your comments.

xx

Wow, congrats Jeremy! And what a fabulous zippicture! Does that mean you'll be reading your work there? x

Congratulations, Jeremy! Fabulous news. That poster is fantastic, a fitting tribute to the multi-layered stories chosen!

Congrats Jeremy! How exciting. Seattle - my oldest daughter just moved there with her boyfriend - too bad I can't visit yet (gotta win the lottery first). I love that poster. Hmmm, somehow I just cannot see an Erotic Art Festival anywhere near where I live - hahahaha (bet cerulean agrees).

Thank you Isabel, Nikki, Donna, and Robin!

Congratulations on getting in the showcase.Luckily, I'm good at squeezing my way into places (ahem). I only had to move two or three Boston creme pies out of the way to worm my way into the display case.

Does that mean you'll be reading your work there?Alas, no, I'll be there only as a piece of paper. Or maybe a poster. (Not sure how they display the stories.) Hmm ... I wonder if I can get the poster as a souvenir, after the event. I could hang it up in our bedroom and turn on the black light.

Congrats Jeremy! And now we all want that poster, don't we?
Seattle sounds kind of a cool city from over here where I'm sitting. Grunge and Erotica...

Thanks, Janine!

By the way, the SEAF arrangements include a festival store. I don't know anything more about it, but I imagine they might be selling the SEAF poster. General contact info for the SEAF staff can be found here.
