Details, Details

I promised to return with the details of next Monday's party ... and here I am! Though maybe you can't see me behind this big stack of details that I'm carrying. Hold on a sec, I'll just—whoops ... uh-oh, I almost—DOH! [Sound FX]

Look at that: details all over my blog! Well, we may as well take a look at them, anyway, before we get down on our hands and knees to pick them all up (and so forth).

So ... on Monday, January 11(th, for "th" fans), Rock My Socks Off will officially be released by the publisher, Xcite Books. Yes, yes, I know I've already been making a lot of noise about the book (even apart from dropping stuff all over the floor) ... but this will now be official noise.

And as part of my official noise program, I'll be hosting that book-release party on Monday—right here, of all places! I'll be talking a little about how I approached writing my first erotic novel. But more importantly—because it's the guests that make the party—I'll be inviting you to participate in a little discussion (topic to be revealed at the party). And my friend the Random Number Generator has intimated (don't you love that word?) that commenters will be entered in a drawing (a lottery, that is, not a cartoon), with the winner receiving a free copy of ... guess what! ; )

Now then ... who wants to join me on the floor for, um, detail collecting?

Thanks, folks!

I'm glad you mentioned the "baby" angle, Danielle. I don't mind confessing that I literally walked around the house with my book in my arms when it first arrived here.

Justine, I can't wait to see your outfit! Do you have the socks equivalent of IKEA near you? (SOCKEA?)

Craig, if I'd been smart I would have borrowed some of your stickly details—then maybe they wouldn't have scattered all over the floor.

Robin, I know it will be fun—because of all of you!

Sounds killer! I'll be there (or be square)!
Congrats again, J!

Thanks, Haven! And you could never be square. Why, even your square-paneled comics are hip!

Bloody hell. My copy of "Rock My Socks Off" (somewhere in the 6 parcels Amazon has posted to me) is currently sitting in my local postal depot - so says my postman - because due to the snow the Royal Mail "isn't delivering parcels at the moment, just letters." Grr. Just wanted to grumble.

Perfect, Justine! And, coincidentally, someone has posted this link on another blog today.

Oh, damn, Janine—I'm sorry!

I can just imagine the message you got, too: "Yes, we are in possession of your erotica books. We are currently holding our packages."

Thanks, Allison!

Hey, your blog reminds me that it's just a few days until we emerge into the Into the Light limelight! It's always great to be antho buddies with you. : )

Whoops—sorry, Jolene, I jumped your comment!

Sure, you can take your socks off before arriving ... or do a "sock tease" when you get there.
